My Approach
I believe everyone has a right to mental health care
I believe everyone has a right to mental health care, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, culture or socioeconomic status. I welcome and embrace difference and work within the client´s belief system. I believe personal growth and therapy should be an essential form of self-care and preventative health care for everyone.
I use a client-centered, holistic mind/body approach. Different techniques work for different people and at different moments in their processes. However, I always have present the mind-body connection. Trauma affects the whole system, and emotional difficulties affect the body.
I believe in the intrinsic wisdom of each person and in helping people to rediscover, listen to and honor that voice through the use of skills and techniques.
My desire is to destigmatize mental health, just as physical health is, so that we may be compassionate with ourselves and get the help we need, for ourselves and for our family, as quickly as possible.
I hope that we may begin to see mental health as something preventative, as essential self-care, just like brushing our teeth.
Integrating physical and mental health is fundamental. I hope to see you soon, whether it´s preventative or restorative. I’m here for you and your family.
